The silent footsteps you left
Metamorphized into a theft
Of my beating strength
The distance and the length
That you crafted
Often smarted
In places unknown
In places forlorn
For I don’t know,
Where you went
For I don’t see
Your shadowy
Heart on the sill
Of my window as I will
Have done
Silent footsteps, you left
Forever to stride ahead you set
My beating strength is numb
From the panicked thumping of missing you
From the perspiration of losing you
For your silent footsteps silenced my heart
Silenced by the distance as we plummeted apart
