The balloon floated around like the cloud men drifting off,
The balloon flew like the phoenix basking in the glory of the sun,
The balloon was as weightless as a dandelion riding the wind,
The balloon shone like pearls on the beach.

The balloon danced in like a butterfly fluttering on the flowers,
The balloon spun like a paper boat caught in a playful stream,
The balloon wandered like a lonely bird in the sky,
The balloon bobbed like a lantern swaying in a gentle night breeze,
The balloon twirled like a ribbon unraveling like a ballerina,
The balloon dripped off the roof like the first dew in the morning sun,

And in all its drifting, spinning, wandering ways,
the balloon carried a little wish tied to its string.

The balloon disappeared into the horizon like a magic trick…
