I would recommend Project Hail Mary to readers who enjoy science fiction, mystery and space adventures. The story follows Ryland Grace, a science teacher who wakes up alone on a spaceship with no memory of who he is or why he is there. As the story progresses, he slowly uncovers the truth about his mission and what could happen to Earth if he fails.
What I liked most about the book was how it made science feel interesting instead of boring. There are many scenes where Ryland has to solve problems using experiments and logic, and even though some parts were slightly confusing, they were still enjoyable because they felt realistic. It never felt like the author was forcing science into the story. Instead, the science became a natural part of the adventure.
My favourite part of the book was when Ryland meets Rocky. Their friendship was probably the best part of the story for me because it begins in such a strange way but slowly becomes funny, emotional and meaningful. I also liked how they learned to work together despite being completely different from each other.
The book also creates a strong sense of suspense because every time Ryland solves one problem, another challenge appears. There were moments when I genuinely thought the mission was going to fail. The ending was also satisfying and different from what I expected.
Overall, I think Project Hail Mary is an enjoyable and engaging book for readers who like space stories filled with mystery, science and strong characters. Even though some ideas are complex, the story and relationships between the characters make the book very hard to put down.
