Book Review – Wish

‘WISH’ is an enthralling book which tells us about the captivating story of Charlie Reese who is sent to live with a family when her mother could not take care of her in Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. It talks about how she adapts to the new place settling in with her big-hearted aunt and uncle, her loving dog and how she befriends a boy named Howard in her class. Charlie has a lot of wishes in mind but all of them seem unlikely to happen. The book tells us about how Charlie Reese finally realizes the true meaning of family in North Carolina.

I loved this book as it tells us about how important family is and how we should stay happy always. I liked the way the author has ended the story in a wonderful, positive manner. The book was so engrossing that it was almost impossible to take my eyes off its pages.

Like the saying goes, “There is always room for improvement”, I wish the author had created stronger imagery about the Blue Ridge mountains at the start. But that aside, I would highly recommend this beautifully penned book to people who love reading about family life or realistic fiction.
