The Year That Went By – Sehar Kaur

One day I hear

We should all-clear

Be at home cozy

Read a million stories

After a month I thought

Oh! No work all play is a great way!!

Holidays throughout the year dancing frolicking through the house

Now wondering when I will get out.

Day and night I tried figuring out how

I started missing school then I knew something was new!

Was it good was it bad I asked my dad

He said there was a virus

Oh I was shocked!

Thought I was being mocked?

I asked him, again and again,

I realized it was not a joke

I was about to choke!

One year went by

All the things went online

I sat gloomily waiting for it to become a dream

I learned many things like to cook and read a book

Even if it’s fun I can’t wait for it to be done
